Morning seminar with Hummingbird experts!  Space is limited.  Reservations
required:  385-6086.
For adults (children ages 10 and older with an adult are welcome).

The fee for each seminar/ banding experience is $5.00 per person.

Want to know more about hummingbirds? Join expert hummingbird banders Fred and Tena Engleman for an up close view of hummingbirds in the hand.  See how data is collected for each bird.  This is a program not to be missed!

CANVASES IN THE CAÑON ART FESTIVAL on Labor Day

A CALL FOR ART!  GET CREATIVE AND PLAN TO SHOW YOUR WORK IN OUR WONDERFUL MOUNTAIN PARK.

Canvases in the Cañon Art Show Entries must be 2-dimensional pieces with a preferred focus on "Spectacular Scenes of the Pikes Peak Region".  Scenes of North Cheyenne Cañon are of special interest to include in this show.  Plein-Air demonstrations are also welcome.  Exhibit entry is FREE.  15% of sales go to the Friends of Cheyenne Cañon for park preservation and programs.  Artists furnish awnings, easels, chairs and portfolios or display racks.  Weather is unpredictable and may cause cancellation of this outdoor event.  Entry deadline is August 15.  Space limited to 16 exhibitors.  Exhibit Entry:    Print out the exhibit entry form or call 385-6086.

NOTE:  The City of Colorado Springs and the Friends of Cheyenne Cañon are not liable for any damages and artwork will be shown at the artist's own risk.

Canya Cañon -  Third Annual 6K Family Hike and Trail Race

Join the Friends of Cheyenne Cañon for a run/hike on the beautiful Columbine Trail from the Starsmore Discover Center to Helen Hunt Falls.

Race Entry fee is $25 per individual,
$40 per family, 
if PRE-registered.  On the day of the race, $30 per individual, $40 per family.  Entry fee includes T-shirt and post-race party with food and beverages at Bristol Brewing.  All proceeds benefit The Friends of Cheyenne Cañon.
