VOLUNTEER & BECOME A MEMBER
North Cheyenne Cañon Park is Colorado Springs oldest and most cherished regional park. This park is diverse in landscape and opportunities and is a huge responsibility for the community to care for. Without proper attention, trails would be unmanageable and centers for educating and activities that enrich the lives of the people in our community would be lacking. There are many ways that we benefit from this park and so many different ways that willing and talented people can contribute. As a volunteer or a member, you will be able to enrich the experience of over 400,000 visitors every year and your own experience as well.
Funding comes through membership & donations, fundraisers (that need volunteers to make it happen), private donors that sponsor the Cañon, and a portion of program assistance comes from the City of Colorado Springs.
When you join our group by
volunteering
or
becoming a member
you get a network of great people that all share the responsibility and love of the outdoors as well as North Cheyenne C
añon
in particular.
Volunteer opportunities
are tailored to the talents, time and interests
of each volunteer member:
Help support and maintain the infrastructure of North Cheyenne Cañon Park
* Advocate to the City of Colorado Springs Park, Recreation and Cultural
Services for increased staffing and funding
* Trail maintenance and park clean-up
Provide rewarding community service to school children, families, and thousands of national and foreign visitors to the Park each year.
