The Friends of Cheyenne Cañon partner with The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Department in order to protect, preserve and enhance North Cheyenne Cañon City Park. A City Volunteer Application is required for adult and teen volunteers who work a regular schedule for the visitor centers or as crew leaders for Trail Maintenance and Clean-up events. The City of Colorado Springs has a secure volunteer database, which allows efficient communication with our volunteers concerning programs, events, schedules and service records. The City of Colorado Springs values volunteer service in North Cheyenne Cañon which amounted to 9,029 hours during 2010 at a value of $188,254.00.
