Hummingbird Garden

Help maintaini the hummingbird garden located in front of Starsmore Discovery Center.  Learn more about gardening and how to attract hummingbirds.  No prior knowledge necessary.  Training is provided.

Volunteer

The Friends of Cheyenne Cañon partner with The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Department in order to protect, preserve and enhance North Cheyenne Cañon City Park.  A City Volunteer Application is required for adult and teen volunteers who work a regular schedule for the visitor centers or as crew leaders for Trail Maintenance and Clean-up events.  The City of Colorado Springs has a secure volunteer database, which allows efficient communication with our volunteers concerning programs, events, schedules and service records. The City of Colorado Springs values volunteer service in North Cheyenne Cañon which amounted to 9,029 hours during 2010 at a value of $188,254.00.  Please join our team by filling out an application and choose North Cheyenne Cañon, Starsmore Discovery Center or Helen Hunt Falls as the site where you would like to volunteer.
